New rear air shocks, compressor would not run,fixed now

Just replaced my rear air shocks with ACDelco replacements # 580-1090
Rear air compressor would not start on its own
Went to a garage ,they scanned and cleared ABS and other problem codes in memory, compressor started and filled the air shocks.No dash lights (service suspension etc) were on before or after the replacement of the shocks

I guess you have to clear any old codes in memory or compressor will not run.
I was ready to order a compressor,glad I had it scanned before that,shocks were expensive enough.

ya, I thought about getting oem but the lifetime warranty from arnott was more desirable I plan on keeping this thing for a LONG time.
