This is my first post after lurking for a while... I just traded in my 10 Tundra Dcab and I wasnt to upgrade the stock Bose Nav in my 08 Tahoe. Let me list what I had in my Tundra so you have an idea of where I want to go.

I had Infinity Kappa 60.7cs in front doors and Infinity Kappa 62.7i in rear doors on an Infinity Reference 475a amp and (2) Kicker CVT 12s on an Reference 1600a mono amp in a sealed box. This was with a ZVIC-Z3 HU.

Now... I just picked up a new AVIC-Z140BH and want to up the DB and keep the clearity I had with the Infinity set up. All this while appearing stock. So (4) 6.5 doors and I'm looking at a box under center console and someone built a box that went between the captain chairs on 2nd row...

Let 'er rip and Thank you!

David

Well, mine takes up 1 of the 2 3rd row seats. I have to keep one since I have all 3 kids with me from time to time.

To keep your stock appearance and just up the bass a little, I'd do a 10" behind the 3rd row (if you have one) and attach the amp to it or throw it under the 2nd row seats.

I just did one 12" woofer back there and it gets down ok.

Thanks Nathan. I have 3rd row which will likely come out, but I have made, I think, up my mind. The list is as follows:

Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH
Pioneer GEX-P920XM
95-3305DD kit
GMOSLAN02
GMRVD-PAC Audio GM Harness
CHA10-DB Link Chrysler Antena
SWI-RC
Memphis MClass 15MCC6 x (2) pair
Memphis Reference 15MR10S4 x (2)
Memphis Reference 16-MRA4.480 power for doors
Claas D Power Reference 16 PR1x600 power the 2 10's
MTX Thunderform - unloaded - for under center console
Custom box to sit between the 2nd row captain chairs with 1 above 10"

I can't wait to get the Bose stuff bypassed and my new stuff in!!!

Ok... after looking at the specs on my Infinity stuff and the Memphis stuff... I'm not sure I would benifit from changing out any of my Ininity equipment. I think it may be best to reinstall all of myold stuff with the new HU and figure out a sub solution.

Pioneer AVIC-Z140BH
Pioneer GEX-P920XM
95-3305DD kit
GMOSLAN02
GMRVD-PAC Audio GM Harness
CHA10-DB Link Chrysler Antena
SWI-RC
Infinity Kappa 60.7cs (90w RMS @ 2ohm) FRONT DOORS (less tweeters)
Infinity Kappa 10.9t (50w RMS @ 2ohm) FRONT PILLARS
Infinity Kappa 62.7i (75w RMS @ 2ohm) REAR DOORS
Infinity Reference 475a (90w RMS x 4 @ 2ohm)
Infinity Reference 1600a (600w RMS x 1 @ 2ohm)

The JL stealth box is good if it works for you (must have power lift gate), but its expensive. I'd ONLY do that if I absolutely needed to keep all my cargo space in the back

Nathan,

Do you think I could fit a 1.5cu sealed enclosure with 2 down firing 10's in between the 2 captain chairs in 2nd row and make it look like it belongs? I'm guessing it would need to be about 28" from front to back and 12" or so wide. If the top portion could be covered in vynl/leather as a "center console" that could have drink holders and maybe storage space for the headphones... Whatchya think??
