I spent over 500+ on it... only justifying that had I done it at the dealership I would've spent over 1000+. Had I not done the bumper, I would've not bought such a cheap ****** curtain rod as Ben the hater has pointed out.

Felix,

You have a spare tire under the back of the truck right?
And is the bumper you used to have the same (small gap) as that of the Hybrid?

I guess what I'm asking is this ...
If you look below the bumper of the hybrid in the above pic you will see that it has the stupid resonator where the spare tire is on all other Tahoes. I'm just trying to figure out if it would be an issue if I did what you did and swapped my rear bumper for an esky/denali one?

Yes I have a spare tire. Yes the bumper I -used- to have appears to have the same size gap of the Hybrid version, but yea the resonator on mine is in a different spot although I don't think it will be an issue for you because regardless, both of our vehicles have that spot filled. Plus the actual metal frame bumper is in front of it which is what the rear bumper cover sits on top of.

I'm not hater. I enjoy seeing your mods it gives me great ideas. But I think my next idea is certainly one of a kind and I have never seen. Reverts to a nbs look on the nnbs and think it will look sweet.

My paint guy who has handled escalades/tahoes/yukons alike say's that THIS window surround (off nnbs 07+ esky) -WILL INDEED- fit my Tahoe!!! Does anyone have any experience in this matter or possible done this mod? This would make my esky side view mirrors line up perfectly if so.

Is this what you were talking about the other day with the rubber not coming all the way up to the mirror and creating a gap or something?

Yea this would cover the gap basically. And make my pillars in between the front and rear doors black which I would LOVE.

Does your paint have one that you can mock up to validate the fit prior to doing it or is this just a pic of one he had and now you would have to find the parts in order to do the mod?

This is a pic I found of what it looks like and my paint guy just told me it would fit because they have the same door frame shape and this just lays on top of it. I'm trying to get a hold of one of these window surround mouldings to find out.

I gotcha. That is going to be an awesome mod once you find the part # so that you can order it. That'll really finished it off nice! :waytogo:

For sure. Plus my new esky mirrors have the window part of the mirror gloss black (Retained how the esky keeps it...STOCK) versus my all white painted version that I currently have on my vehicle. So IF the window trim does fit, the gloss black pillars (along with the gloss black on the mirror/window side) will make my front and rear windows flow real nicely with my matched tint in the front (Thanks for the idea Zach!!) :Handshake:

The rear doors on the escalades have a different shape around the window. Look at the rear bottom part of the window frame on yours, it's "round" while the escalades is "flat"

The whole door on the escalades is different then the tahoes with the window frame being different and then the escalades have a very small body line right above the molding.

Look at your sig picture for the tahoe doors.
