I haven't updated in a long time... I've been recovering from rotator cuff surgery. The 1st 6 weeks after the operation, I had to wear a sling for 6 weeks, 24/7. Then I had 10 weeks of PT, thankfully I am 85% recovered. The Tahoe, has been pissy with me since I don't drive it much anymore. There is a parasitic battery draw which kills the battery every 3 days, so I have to keep it disconnected . I've discovered rust on the driver's side rear quarter panel and doors, but the frame is spotless. I gave thought to selling it and getting something newer, but I can't part ways with it. Everytime I think of someone else driving it away, my heart gets heavy. Plus, I can't think of any new cars I would even want.

I had surgery on both of my shoulders at separate times. No joke.
Im selling my Crown Victoria Sport because of rust. These are the Crown Vics that were based on the Marauders--they have the center consoles with the floor shifters. If you can, just fix the rust before it gets really bad and keep it. You'll regret it if you sell it.

Fix the rust, hook up a battery tender or mount one under the hood even better.

i had a torn rotator cuff from doing a “helicopter” with a Waverunner when I was in my 30’s. I flew off the top of a huge barge wake of about 10 feet and the nose hit the top of the wave as i turned which made the thing start rotating in midair like a helicopter blade and I was holding on with one arm, making me into an even bigger diameter helicopter. I didn’t let go until it tore my rotator cuff when my body couldn’t keep up with the waverunner. Good times. They told me it would take about 6 months before I could work again. I opted for rehab. It worked! Still bothered me for years though.

Keep it. If you take the money you'd spend on a new car and invest it - 7% on $50K compounded annually is reasonable over history - it turns into $98K in 10 years, which you should still easily get from that unicorn with a little love and care along the way.
