Just bought a '99 in incredibly good condition and I'd like some ideas to give it some tasteful upgrades. I'll take any suggestions: performance, sound system, tires...

First thing I need is shocks. I'm eyeing Bilsteins from rockauto. I don't need heavy duty. I'll probably be on the road mostly with some gravel trips with my mountainbike. Any favorite shocks?

If you get 17" wheels, upgrade to larger 2010 front brake calipers rotors (13") & pads; you also have to get the caliper brackets.
It is literally that easy.

If you get 18" wheels, you can upgrade even bigger (13.5" rotors), but it's a bit more involved.

Very strongly recommend 3.73, or 4.10 if you're feeling froggy.
Highway MpG MIGHT go down with 4.10, but city MpG will improve, and your 4L60E will last longer before its next rebuild,
so think of it as an investment, not as an expense.

PCM tune by pcmperformance.com.

If you like your ride floatish, Bilstein 4600. (Personally regret the 4600, I'd've preferred 5100 for a bit better handling.)
