Sure.

Cooling system:
-Derale 13960 Hyper-Cool fan-forced transmission fluid cooler, mounted below the front bumper and plumbed in series after the fluid-to-fluid cooler in the radiator, wired into the fuse block using an add-a-fuse adapter on an unswitched circuit. Factory air-to-fluid transmission cooler deleted.
-Cold Case GMT569A aluminum double-row radiator. Had to clearance the top corner mounting brackets a few mm to get it to fit right. Also had to put a small restrictor in the small hose that runs from the radiator to the coolant recovery tank (I used a small brass fitting with a hole through it from the Dorman rack at Autozone that fit inside the hose snugly). I also had to trim the plastic factory fan shroud to account for the greater thickness of the Cold Case radiator.
-New GM 700w fan motor and matching blade from the K5L cooling package, installed in the driver's side fan position only.

By the way, I only just got the 700w fan motor and blade installed last weekend when I had the radiator out for the cam swap and that thing is noticeably louder when it kicks up to high than the 500w motor and blade it replaced.

I found a really easy fix on my Cold Case... Just take an empty / fired 45ACP case punch out the primer then shove it in the upper hose going to the overflow tank and reconnect the hose... Problem solved.

But then you're introducing brass to your cooling system that already has aluminum and iron flowing through it.
I don't know metallurgy, but copper and aluminum don't get along, I would think that brass would be similar.

Radiators were made of brass much longer than they have been of aluminum. They also overlapped with heads and blocks of aluminum.

Brass and Aluminium can be in contact with each other without corrosion, so long as they do not have any additional items in the mix (i.e. steel, stainless steel or an acidic solution - NaCl or a water base with a pH greater than 7).
It’s not the two metals together that cause the issue, it’s the introduction of an additional metal or acid that causes a rapid often severe corrosion.

If you’re sticking with the brass cartridge, just keep an eye on all of your fittings.

Usually the aluminum case ammo doesn't have a typical type reloadable primer (Berdan vs Boxer). It's still removable, but would probably just need to be drilled out.

Exactly. I’ve been trying to remember if I’ve ever seen it in 45. Usually ive seen 38 and 9.

If you look inside an empty case, there will be 2 small holes off center going to the primer (Berdan} instead of 1 larger hole in the center (Boxer)
