That is huge and a cool looking replacement. Color match is so close in the picture. Your aren’t ranting about it so it must be acceptable.

Your truck on the screen is much better than that Jeep/FJ Cruiser thingy.

What a way to make use of the space with that large screen.

Some kind of goofy looking Jeep type thing.

This is what I currently have done because I can't be driving around in my Burb with that ugly thing staring at me

I'm not sure if that is the final iteration or if I will change it up, time will tell.
Nice, I'm still happy with my pioneer and it's startup screen

I relocated the factory USB port from the original location in the bezel around the center stack to the side of the console.

Technically my '08 didn't come with the factory USB port, I added it back when I installed the Kenwood.

With this new bezel there isn't any room to drill a hole and stick it either over or under the side buttons Due to the mounting points behind it, and the buttons, obviously.

I think this an acceptable location since the only use it will ever see is plugging in a thumb drive once in a while OR if someone wanted to use the Wired Apple Carplay or Wired Android Auto. I am kinda spoiled with the wireless Android Auto so probably won't ever get used, but at least it is mounted and not just hanging out in the glove box.

does that thing do a split screen, like say a movie playing on the top half and waze running on the bottom half?
does it have 4g/5g built in or a sim card slot rather. Or will it accept a usb 4g/5g modem?

It will do split screen. I can have the Maps in AA and my music playing at the bottom. I'm not sure how split screen works with a movie as I haven't tried it, but I would assume so since it is essentially just a tablet.

It does have a 4G SIM card slot so it can have it's own dedicated data which is good because you can't do WIFI Hotspot on your phone while simultaneously doing Android auto since it uses wifi for that as well.

I have not put a SIM card in it to try it as I don't want to give Verizon another $20 a month just to have internet in my truck for the rare times I might want it.

Phoenix Automotive recommends T-Mobile SIM cards as they say they work without issue. I have seen other reviews that said they are using Verizon SIM cards with maybe a couple tweaks to the APN settings.

Not sure about the USB modem.
