Just want my radio on

I got a 2003 escalade, tried to install my aftetmarket double din radio, used a good wiring harness and hooked up everything right.

Radio doesnt turn on.

After doing some research i found out my car has some kind of bose system in it, that i need a module to power my radio.

Well i dont want to invest too much money on it, because the transmission is fixing to go out.

Is there any other way to bypass / power the bose system without that expensive module

I cannot directly help you on this. It seems to be general experience that if you have a Bose system, and you want to change the head unit, you are best to change out everything, if you want to avoid issues.

I suggest that you contact the folks at Crutchfield and discuss your situation. You may need an interface unit that will marry your new aftermarket head unit to your existing Bose system. It is worth a try.
