I can see this technology being good and bad. Definitely should be user enable/ disabled. I probably would want the system off during a zombie apocalypse.

My point being, if the technology prevents you from backing out of a parking space when a potential carjacker is blocking the sensor, do you think a stressful situation like that will allow a panicked female from changing the setting quickly? It needs to be what the people want, not the lawyers. The majority of vehicles on the road don't even have that technology. Forcing a driver to be trapped will not be a good outcome for the manufactures. I like the autobraking myself, but I think it can be used against the driver therefore a driver option. This is my opinion.
