Hey guys, haven't posted here in a while. Long story short, my license got suspended, just got it back so my Tahoe was parked for about 3 months. It was at my grandmas at first, till a tree branch fell on it and broke one windshield wiper and the windshield, then it sat at home for a bit. I just am getting her back running and am having some issues. I had my radar detector and CB wired into the interior fuse panel and neither of them turn on anymore. Also I cant seem to get any of the interior lights to turn on no matter what I do. I checked the interior fuse labeled Illum but that didnt seem to fix it. Any ideas? Also tried to get my garage door opener to program, but I cant get the lights on it to flash.

Thanks

EDIT: If i recall correctly if I turn the little wheel next to the headlight nob all the way up till it clicks all the interior lights are supposed to come on. Correct?

I thought i did, any specific ones to check? It seems that the built in garage door opener isn't working either.

-garage door opener

What was the CB and RD wired to in the fuse panel?

you by any chance sporting a Body Control Module under the steering column or buried in the center console?

also do you consider your vehicle the base or luxury trim?

It makes a difference in the wiring system.

all of those circuits you have problems with are controlled in the BCM you may have overloaded some circuits when you added that other stuff.

I had that issue on a old 77 suburban that sat...Cleaned up all the grounds and things started to work again... Check those grounds, its amazing what they can cause...

Sunlitow would I go about checking the BCM because I removed everything I added and its still not working. Also if it makes a difference the fogs aren't working either, neither the lights or the light on the switch turn on

Let's first make sure you have one. Look under the steering column or remove the panel below it to see better. See if you can't find a box with several multi wire connectors on it. We will for now assume a base model a z71 does not really specify luxury as it does suspension. I will trace and look at the fog circuit diagram for you as well.

That is the interconnect on the steering column for all the switch assemblies on the column. What is the big bundle of wire tied up in pic #2?

Sorry it's been taking me so long to reply, I just started a new job right after finishing school. Sunlit, any ideas on what it could be?

Thanks,
