Intake Manifold Gasket rubber end seals

I have been reading the threads about leaking lower intake manifold gaskets, and to purchase the Fel-Pro MS98000t gasket set. My question is that my leak(s) are in the front of the engine not the sides. Looking at the pictures (http://www.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-MS9800.../dp/B000CH0C0Y) there is no gasket for the front or rear. Am I missing something. I was looking at some picts from Autozone.com and there gaskets dont show a front and rear seal either. Are they called "rubber end seals" and where do I get them?

Malone, there will be two lower intake gaskets. These go on either side of the heads. Now in the front of the engine and at the rear of the engine, typically what is used is black high heat silicone.

You simply lay down a nice 1/4" bead of silicone from corner to corner, front to back
Set your intake gaskets down.
Set your intake down carefully onto the mating surfaces making sure not to disturb the newly layed beads of silicone.
Tighten all intake bolts, starting from the middle and working outwards to torque.

what Sepiroth said, use silicon, allow to set up overnight for best results, after intake is torqued down.

Here is your bolt tightening sequence.

Ignore the 30 ft-lbs torque. If I remember correctly, the 99 models engine calls for...

upper plenum torque is:
44 in lbs first time around
89 in lbs second time around

The lower intake manifold is:
27 in lbs first time around
106 in lbs second time around
133 in lbs third and final torque

I also recommend using a teflon sealer on the threads of your intake bolts.

yes, I meant AFTER the intake was torqued. Allowing the silicon to set up properly.

If I recall this correctly you need full gakset set and two bolt sets. Manufactuer recomends that when do this mod your order a bolt set.

I lucked out I guess, when I have to re-do my heads. Still waiting for them from the machine shop

head bolts I agree, but not intake bolts. Head bolts are put under pretty good stress.

Thanks for all the replies, picts, and suggestions! Can you please specify what type of silicone for the front and rear, and do I need a "sealer" for the sides going into the head?

stop by a NAPA, etc...tell them you need black intake silicon for intake gasket.

I would after, just in case anything gets dropped during the old intake removal. Just try to keep the lifter valley as clean as possible.
