I want the offroad look, but wont ever be going off road. It's an 03 Tahoe LT, 2WD.
1.) I have been told Nitto Terra Grapplers get the mileage and wear slow, what i want, will 295/70/17 or 20" grapplers fit with my torsion bars cranked up?

2.) What is a good rim to go with this?? I was thinking Gear Alloy 718B (Black) or KMC XD Monster (Back)

Is there anything else i will need? I will not ever be going off road.

FWIW, I'm running 295/70/17 nitto trail grapplers with ultra gauntlet wheels on ford keys not cranked all the way. Have about 3/4" of bolt left. Minor rubbing when reversing in full lock. Some inner wheel well lining trimming should take care of that.

I don't go offroading that much either, but I liked the beefier/aggressive look of the trail grapplers over the terras.

I've had them on for less than 2 weeks, but I can tell a small hit on MPG. The tires and lift are contributing factors, but I need to check the filter, spark plugs, etc. I also need to recalibrate the speedometer because it feels way off.

Not loud at all. I have flowmasters and usually music on, but even without them, it's barely noticeable. Not sure how the wear is on these tires, but there is a 5 year warranty period (no mileage warranty).

ultra gauntlet 17"x9" b/s + offset

hi polobuds,

i just bought a black '07 yukon denali. i'm shopping for wheels & tires and came across the gauntlets on your tahoe (which is very sweet, by the way). i was looking on ultra's site and saw they make two slightly different versions of the 17"x9" gauntlet wheels.

p/n 238-7983b: 5.47" b/s & +12mm offset
p/n 238-7984b: 5.98" b/s & +25mm offset

i'm planning on running 285/70R17 bfg ta k/o tires.

do you know which part number gauntlets you're running? think i'd have any rubbing issues with the 285/70/17s? i seldom mud but do occasionally need to take my vehicle on trails or off-road for work.

thank you a ton in advance. feel free to e-mail me at [email protected]. since i'm new on the forum i may not have access to private messaging yet.
