How to play music CD ???

I know this sounds really remedial, but I can't get a regular purchased music CD to play
in my Yukon.. I"m pretty sure the wife has gotten it to play DVD's for the kids to watch.
But it does nothing when I insert a regular CD. 2014 Yukon Denali with the bose/nav system.
Everything is stock (on the inside)

Is this the only CD that does not play, yet other CDs do play in the head unit?

This may be a dumb question , but have you tried putting the CD in the DVD slot and CD slot and neither one works?

Have you changed the source to disc?

It does play dvd's.. I'll follow the instructions above and try a couple
different 'aged' cd's.. I tried 3 cd's with no results, but they were all from
the same "best of album".. they play fine in my desktop computer, but that's no fun

You may already know this,,,,, Make sure you are not trying an MP3 CD.... Won't work.

( I had to convert my MP3 Apple Music to 'Music CD" to play in my Yukon.
