Today I decided to tackle the tyranny fluid in my XL. Things were going well besides the fluid bath I took when the pan finally popped free of the seal.

When I was trying to get the filter seal out my pick slipped and pulled the green wire out of the harness right next to the filter tube.

Can I fix this or am I sinking more money into it now?

If clip is still on wire just push back in. Look at position of other clips in connector. If wire broke clips are available to put on wire push back in connector. Good luck

I can see the crimp on the plastic of the wire so I know it just pulled out of the clip.

It seems to hold it in well enough when I push it back in. Just makes me nervous that it would fall back out again

They make release tools but sometimes you can get out with thin pin, but what I would do is take clip and green wire out of connector make double sure it is crimped correctly its to much work and money (fluid) to not make sure it solid.

dealer or auto parts store will have a new pin you can crimp on and then just replace the one pin, getting the old one out can be tricky you need a pick tool with a fine tip and some needle nose pliers, just sticking it back in there is going to lead to problems down the road when it looses connection driving over a bump

Pop it out of the clip, and then re-crimp the pin and push the pin back in
