GMC Stock 20s! LOOK need help!!

Now that I have your attention, I bought some stock 20s and long story short they where painted silver. Went to strip hoping they where still machined underneath. Well someone took a wire wheel and used that to scuff them.. (idiot).

I'm going to clean them up and paint them. What is the closest paint/paint code to give the oem machine look. I understand it won't have the texture look. Jusy want closest to oem as possible. I was thinking a medium metallic silver? Thanks!!

My vote is bedliner or black... white/black always looks nice.

Costs more but get them powder coated. Another member did that to a set of 916's that were trashed and it came out nice...gotta look for that thread.

I would get them sand blasted and powder coated... They have silver and chrome shinny finishes.. Should cost about $300-400 for all four. I'm gettin some 20s powder coated black right now. I'll post pics in like a week when I get them back

Was trying to stay away from powder coating just because i dont have the extra $$ to get someone to do it. I ran across ultra silver metallic #wa8867 that looks pretty close

Have them repainted at a body shop, or Plastidip them, I did that to the same style wheel you have before I ended up selling them to my friend.

Ive used plasti dip before. They don't offer a close color. Plan is to paint if I cant find a close color

Or you could restore them and throw a clear coat on them

They are really bad. Wire wheel marks everywhere. Almost looks like a grinder hit it

Sand them smooth again and clear them

Seen this stuff?? That's what I would use. Sand, primer, paint.

Work your way down to The finest sand paper u can find then a polishing wheel to get it silky smooth "Adam ******* voice" then clear em

I'v e polished out way worse. And those are probably the easiest to polish. Use finer and finer grit and then a good metal polish, work hard and they will look like chrome
