    Hi,

This is the same exact setup i am planning on installing. With the front Fox coilovers, do you have to remove them from the car to adjust the height?

Well, I just walked in the door from checking on this, as I still need to get them adjusted down a few inches. As far as I know, the answer is YES.

I rented a coil compressor tool from the auto parts store today, which does actual fit in between the coils, however there is simply no room to use it while the coilovers are on the vehicle. My plan was to take the tension off the coils and then try to twist the adjustment “nut” by hand. But again, I will need to remove them.

My other thought was to purchase the Fox adjustment wrench for these units (which is much different then a typical spanner wrench). I found it on line for a measly $7... why the living hell they dont come with the wrench is beyond me. However, it is my understanding that even with the wrench all the tension should be off them, otherwise it could damage the threads. So, yep, gonna have to remove them even with the wrench.

Ugh. Then to top it off, once you remove them and adjust them, it is basically a trial and error thing to get the desired height. This could be quite a time consuming process.

It would be nice if we can order them preset at a certain height. How is the ride quality so far? im looking for something not too firm.

The ride quality is great compared to the blown out stockers lol.

It seems like they ride just as good as stock did even with them jacked way up at 2.5-3”. I can only imagine they will ride much better once they are lowered down a bit.

Yes, I too wish they would come preset at a desired height. Im going through hell right now trying to get them lowered down. Took one back out tonight so I could get the spring compressors on there. Once I got the spring compressed down I loosened up the pinch screw so I could spin the nut down... and thats when I realized the nut was cross threaded! How the fawk that happened I do not know, but its all screwed up now. SUCKS.

Overall what is the exact height from top to bottom of the new fox struts compared to your stock struts that you took out?

I didnt take an exact measurement, but it wasnt a whole lot more than the added height from the leveling spacer.

Here is a pic of one next to the drivers side unit (the tops are lined up). Of course the passenger side one was several inches shorter (it was the one leaking and blown out)...

I bet the Suburban is riding a lot better with those Fox 2.0's up front!

I have just over 4,000 miles on my Xineering GM Shock Delete circuits, Fox 2.0 Coilovers up front, 1" spacer in the rear running on 275/60r20 NITTO Ridge Grapplers.

YES - the Fox 2.0 front coilover assembly comes SET OUT OF THE BOX @ +2".

When I first put my Fox shocks on the front of my Tahoe I saw a 3.25" ride height increase. You can believe my surprise as my goal was 1.75-2" of front ride height increase. I understand there is a little settling, but...
So I called Fox. Technically, the 2.0 is "designed" for the Silverado. So, differences in front-end weight on your vehicle vs. a stock Silverado could have some serious effect on the pre-loading of the Fox shock. Also, depending on the age and model of your OE front shocks, there could have been some sagging...

In the end, I decreased the pre-load setting to +1.75" and got the Tahoe leveled out around +2.25" from my original ride height measurements. The ride is hands down amazing compared to the OE magneride control I previously had running on the suspension.

Xineering's circuits make it possible to delete your magneride control and build the suspension of your choosing for the most part. My goal was a 2" level using coilovers vs. a kit. By going with the Fox coilovers I have increased my down travel, improved handling and general ride feeling, improved off road capabilities and increased ground clearance via larger tires via the 2" level up front and 1" rear spacer.

    Happy trails!

Yes, it rides fantastic in comparison to the blown out factory setup.

But, the million dollar question... how the hell did you go about adjusting them?!

Im in a bit of a pickle here because I obviously screwed up one of the attempting to adjust them down.

    The tahoe looks great!

Well, yea I thought that was basically what I was gonna do but using the cheap parts store spring compressor. WRONG.
