Flat tire

So im driving in the GHETTO. I've only had this truck for like 3 months and the new 26 inch rims for like a week. I was driving along when I hit a steel plate that was set by construction workers that were working on the roads... As soon as passed over it i heard a loud hiss and I knew exactley what it was. I get out and my NEW rim is on the ground so im like fuckkk.

Lessons learned:

-Carry thin welled socket for removing lugs.
-The spare tire is LOCKED (with your trucks key) under the truck.
-The jack is hidden under a cupolder
-3rd row seats kill storage.

Sorry I just had to get it off my chest. I miss my 03 Tahoe.

Yeah having to deal with changing a flat with the spare is a pain in the ass on these Tahoes.
Good thing you are not dropped 3/5 like me, then you would have had to put the spare on one of the three tires that were fine, then move the 26" wheel/tire from that area to where the flat originally was (all because the drop spindles are too large to accomdate 17" wheels).
A real pain in the ass!!

AHHHH, just checking. I HATE CHANGING FLATS ESPECIALLY IN THE TEXAS HEAT. You were in the GHETTO you should have just paid a drug dependent person (crackhead) to change the tire. Make ure your Onstar is active.

Yeah I was just in the worst part of the Nati (im sure you saw the riots on the news a few years ago...) The Escalade on 6's wasnt helping my situation any. That tire has less than 1000 miles on and and it cut the sidewall :/ sucks for me.

And I just got another one! It happened about 20 minutes ago PLUS I bent the rim AND cracked it! Dont buy U2 rims there JUNK!

My bad luck is unreal. Its killing me. Im about to run this mother fu*$*er into a ditch.

That does suck. Where do you unlock the spare tire at? Is it on the rear bumper cover?

yes, when you pop off your hitch cover you will see a little square plastic piece. pop that off and you will see a key hole. They replaced mine last week all I did was hit the OnStar button and somone was out less than an hour.

Yeah pull the hitch cover (mine got stolen) then there is a square cap off to the right of the hitch. Pry that open with u r finger nail from the bottom. Then use your key to open the lock. After that stick the pole with the SQUARE end in - not the one with the hook for the jack.

Thank God I havent got the lowering kit put on yet or i would have been playing musical tires on the side of I-75.

One more flat tire and Im going to put the stock 22's back on forever.

Just curious... What size/brand of tire are you running and at what PSI??

The tires are Dcenti D9000. When I got my last flat they said they had never herd of them before
