I have a 2005 Yukon Denali and it had a cigarette lighter socket in the rear part of the truck and I have used it many times over the years. Had my Yukon Denali for a year and I have not looked closely at is because I use it mostly for trips with myself and wife, never really looked closely around the vehicle for power sources. I was aware of the 120 Volt outlet in the back of the console and rear cargo area and also found out you cannot really plug a wall wart into these outlets so I have a few 1 foot 3 prong extensions I keep under the rear storage area. I had not even really noticed the USB C outlets in the back of console for the 2nd row or the 3rd row seating area. So I decided to get 4 multi headed charging cables for passengers and place them in the rear door pockets and the rear storage well near the rear cup holders.

These are what I purchased and they seem pretty versatile - https://www.amazon.com/Charging-Braided-Universal-Charger-iPhone16/dp/B0D8VVMJHS/ref=sr_1_4_pp?crid=2JT3TQL5KFG4E&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.DyjlSUYmfT6wFrGtJY3-3Cd-oFSkd7CM4s_2cSGB0TN0sKGmdFD594z8ByJihdr6uzOanQVLgsU_8HqJDP4kgLcyDVB7eXAlf3BkM7340s4TIrlnk2y1NktXT1ruhzkZQy_039fIh7qrhltUeoRw2Fq1ACNMJ6DYap8qQEZUx5q6wvdHBggPGkhJ0cVAIHFV8_18WVldarr22vmrH3S-sXn3VI13HpCtitvJVIhAPOg.mlmXnqmTNceDKful4-Q5Cp7bHen3Ga5auWG53AElWrs&dib_tag=se&keywords=USB+C+multi+charging+cable&qid=1763227243&sprefix=usb+c+multi+charging+cab,aps,168&sr=8-4&th=1

Then I recently purchased a portable refrigerator/freezer that can operate either on 120 Volt or via 12 Volts from a cigarette lighter socket. The problem is the 120 Volt outlets are only active when the vehicle is running, at least my refrigerator/freezer unit will revert back to on automatically when I start the vehicle, I want the option to have the until run even with the vehicle is off. While there are USB C to female cigaretter lighter adapters avaailable, I did not want to go this route due to the possible higher current requirement of my device and the physical load and pull that would be put on a USB connector. Additionally I am pretty sure the USB C ports in the vehicle are not powered all the time.

I purchased a cigarette lighter panel mount socket and mounted on the rear drivers side near the rear fuse box access panel is located and wired it so it is always hot. Rather than mounting it on the side next to the fuse access panel, I mounted on the top near the drivers side fuse box because if I have the cargo area loaded, I may not be able to easily access the ligher socket and I also have a box I have built to put in the back of the truck that is abou 18" high and this would block access if side mounted. Now I have a rear cargo area cigarette lighter socket that is hot all the time for things like my portable refrigerator/freezer unit. I can also use a cigaretter lighter to USB adapter to charge phones and back up battery packs without the vehicle on for tailgating and so forth. I may add a USB port at a later date if needed.

This is what I purchased to install in the rear cargo area - https://www.amazon.com/Dongge-Cigarette-Extension-Perforated-Terminal/dp/B0CMDH8CHY/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?crid=2E588Y8EZ7JSB&keywords=dongee+4+ft+cigarette+lighter&qid=1763226600&sprefix=dongee+4+ft+cigarette+lighter,aps,164&sr=8-4-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1

Nice research and outcome. Please add the word "IDENTIFIED" to your thread title, so that folks coming across this thread see that it offers a 'solution', rather than the typical 'ask a question' thread.
