First off, BIG thanks to Trick. This man spent his whole day off helping me install this drop kit. Neither of us had any real experience doing it so it was definitely fun to dive right in and learn all about it.
And if your gonna do it, do it right! We said jacks and jackstands were for bitches! j/k We rolled with a hydraulic lift and a forklift!!
Amazingly we both escaped with all of our fingers and toes.
old springs vs new Belltech progressive rate
new purple keys
Belltech spring installed
do yourself a favor. go get a 2/3 gear puller and use that. it worked perfectly. no sense in paying $100 for a torsion key tool you'll only use once. you can borrow this from O'Reilly's for free.
Now I know some of you (one person in particular!) are gonna jump on the
bandwagon regarding the finished product BUT, we still need to add the aftermarket Bilstein shocks which won't be here till Monday. That should give me another 1-2 inches in back b/c of the Tahoe's manual self level option. Plus the rear end needs to settle to get the full effect. Soooo, be patient!
