First thing I do is rip off all the engine and coil covers on my vehicles. Never had someone care to look under the hood on stock vehicles, and if they did, I still would take them all off for engine health. The killer of coils is heat, not to mention retention of overall engine heat for reduced performance.

pics of what it looks looks like without the hair silencer baffle thingy. I've very low on my list, but I do want to replace that air intake at some point.

This is what it looks like after I hacked together the factory airbox and the Speed Engineering intake. It had a cheap open cone filter and a crappy/rusty metal heat shield which looked like donkeybutt.
