How does the retractable cargo area cover mount? The cover I think I need for a black interior is GM 22936589. The Tahoe I have is a PPV without the third row seat so I am unsure if it can work.

I can see the tracks in the interior panels where the cover slips in near the tailgate, but I cannot see how the cover would mount towards the front of the vehicle? I see two small indents in the plastic panels, one on each side of the vehicle but I have sloppy holes drilled in them. Are there things that mount in the holes?

I have a 2012 Yukon SLE 5.3 and the holes are for the cargo net. When you cut out the plastic there’s a nut plate that the device screws into. The net is convenient, but the nut plate strips out extremely easy. Mine pulled out when my 22 pound dog stepped on it. It wasn’t worth the time to rethread it.

The cover/shade is pretty easy to install. The front end has compressible springs that fit into the remolded hole on the interior wall behind the rear seat head rests. The screen fits into the prefabbed holes in the rear.

The cover/shade helps keep the looky loos from getting an eye on your stuff. Mine helps keep my tools and gear under wraps.
