Some type of FI would be nice on the 5.3. Went skiing this weekend and this was the first time taking the Suburban on I70. It definitely felt underpowered on a fast, high-elevation highway. In previous [turbo] cars, I could comfortably cruise at 80+ mph the whole way. However in the Suburban it was pretty much 60-65mph, any faster and the engine would be screaming at 4k+.

I’m thinking Turbo still because of the price. The issue with the A/C lines is a concern. Can they be wrapped or manipulated a little to be safe near the turbo. Maybe a small shield of some type?

You can bend the lines, but I don't like that idea.

If I were to do it, I'd reroute the lines or not do it at all, but that's just me. I am sure there are those out there who have bent the line and gotten away with it.

Dang this is not going well. I really don’t want to get into replacing and rerouting lines. I also do not want to relocate the turbo. Maybe it’s time to figure out prices of a 6.2 and compare that to the price of a supercharger kit. [emoji17]

i think most people have problems with the high pressure line (small) one bursting...i dont know how i could get the suction hose any closer to the downpipe lol... ive had the downpipe glowing red before and no issues. exhaust wrap is gone and its was ceramic coated a long time ago, heat dissipation is prob about equal, the ceramic seems to shed the heat faster

I went 6.2 because my 5.3 was up there in miles and leaking oil everywhere anyway. If my 5.3 was in better shape I likely would have done the 2300.

Got any videos of it running? Curious to see how that thing pulls.
