I just struck a deal to trade in my 2016 Sub LTZ for a 2016 Yukon Denali XL.. Both have less than 2k miles and both are fully loaded.. I just could not take the sluggish 5.3 motor any longer along with the constant early upshifting and lugging.. Plus I do like the Yukons front clip design much better, although I believe the Suburban's rear looks a bit cleaner. Plus I literally see 1 Yukon Denali for every 10 suburbans in my area..

good for you on trade

funny , around here i see more yukons & eskys, than burbs/hoes

oh & a supercharger fixes the sluggishness ;)
but yeah, i think you will enjoy the 6.2

look into a BBP tuner. the shifting is where it needs to be after tune.

I live right outside of Manhattan, so since almost every single car service company uses Suburbans mostly, that would explain part of why I see soooo many,, But my neighborhood is mostly made up of private homes and I literally see 3-4 suburbans as soon as I drive less than a mile in either direction. lol The supercharger would void my warranty and cost way too much, but I realize you were kinda joking,, I'm only paying 4k extra for the swap.. not bad, I think? That programmer might fix the sifting but I'm pretty sure the 6.2 would still overall be more satisfying to drive?

the step up to the 6.2 is amazing after driving the 5.3
& 4k for the upgrade, you get a steal on the deal.

too bad GM screwed all the burb/hoe owners, by not offering the 6.2

& there are ways to have warranty & s/c, but yes it can be pricey ;)

oh & pics on new ride, pls :D
thanks! My previous suv before the LTZ was a 2014 Yukon denali xl, and I can feel the difference right away between that and my 16 Sub LTZ...

I drive a clients brand new Silverado midnight edition today so I could hose it off at the self wash with the high pressure water system. He ordered his midnight edition with the 6.2L and it's bad ass. I love the 6.2 motor. It won't disappoint you!

I turned down the denali swap ,once I saw the condition of it... The passenger door looked as if it was sprayed with a can of Krylon..plus it did not line up.. I test drove it just for the hell of it and was not all that impressed..It pulled harder then the 5.3 once you reved it up high enough, but I did not like the power delivery at all,,, I prefer the way the 2014 models power bands were.. I cant win,, lol I guess ill just stick with the 5.3 and try to remedy the funny way that it shifts..

^ this

the BBP tune really cleans the shifting up. no more hunting for gear & much smoother shifting

I just plan to use the programmer, and not to do anything else.. I don't want the suv to be any louder, I just really want it to shift properly, and Id probably turn off that fuel management feature..

No I don't.. Although if you have the 22's, it will vibrate a bit more due to you being able to feel more road imperfections.. I checked for that before I purchased mine.. , Did you try swapping out your tires?
