Pretty much everything we discuss here is a first-world problem. I've also noticed that Cadillac is particularly adept at solving first world problems. For example, the problem of mediocre leather quality on the lower trim lines is solved in the Escalade Platinum with top-drawer semi-aniline leather. Lol.
Oh u think they solve first world probs?! Gechurshelf a cadddddi!

First world problems

I know right? like why doesn't my 15 have massaging seats? really should be unacceptable IMHO. Not that any other vehicle i own has them. but still. And not like the "massaging" seats in the RV that i swear is just a vibrator. I want good massaging seats...but i feel like they weren't offered in any K2 so swapping them in and getting them working would be difficult i think

replaced the front turn signal socket. fun fact, it's easier to do if you face the back of the burb, and use your left hand backwards behind you for some reason, then using your right hand looking at it. Don't ask me why it's easier to do blind, it just is. Old one the contacts were corroded, and since it might not be until late august or early September when i can finalize the RV deal and get my morimoto headlights and fancy pants new radio....i figured i shouldn't act like i drive a BMW and actually fix my turn signal bulb....

So after investigating a bad noise i found a rock hanging out making love with the rotor and dust shield. So since i had the burb in the garage and halfway in the air i decided to poke around the back. Haven't really looked at the rest to closely since it road nicely. Air ride ride is intact but the shocks could be replaced. Looks like the arnotts are the MS3626 correct? Or is there a better option i should look Ai?

Personally i would go to the wrecking yard a look for a good pair of stock gm shocks over Arnott any day. No experience with them but from all i read they are not worth the time and effort to install them.

I. Think new gms are just a little more. Iirc arnott makes the fronts for gm. So figured that they probably make the rears too

Welp, bit the bullet. Not sure what's inop on my suspension, but no error codes. rears upon inspection determined they need replaced, so ordered 2 new GM genuine z95 shocks for the back and a new compressor. The genuine GMs were cheaper then the arnotts. when i looked a week ago it was visa versa.

Bit another bullet. Other new shinies are in the process of being ordered. So. thats neat. I'm going to need a solid weekend to get all of this done or the parts are just going to start piling up. Finally going to take apart the interior and do things, and take off the front bumper to swap out the headlights to something sexier. stay tuned for more

Dude. You are making me jealous! I’m having the steering box replaced right now… freaking ridiculous price for my 3500… but my next project are the seats and getting those Caddy seats to work! Gotta have massage…

I actually saw a esky for sale for cheap the other day and debated about it. But figured everything i've done to this so far, i'd need to do to the esky so why. Since i've never had a rig with massaging seats i can live without 'em. but i imagine they are alot like heated and cooled seats. once you have them, you never want to not have them. But i am really looking forward to the new radio.....it's going to make a huge difference on the interior me thinks. Why buy a new burb when i can just add the things i want to an older one?

I agree! That’s actually part of why I’m trying to add these seats. I want cooled seats (had had them in other cars and love it) and massage seats are just good for really long drives, which we do often.

I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of the big screen but I DO have questions when you get it installed:
1) Does it have independent dimming from the rest of the instrument cluster and is it auto dimming?
2) Does it have rear hvac controls?
3) It’s android based so I am guessing it has custom programming you can add to it? Does it have apps on it? I wonder if I might need an android system to command the Caddy seats?

Yes, and yes. From what i've found, it has both auto and manual

2) Does it have rear hvac controls?

The videos i've seen show it being able to control the rear separately, or tie it into what you command the front to do

Android based, and yes you can add aps. even has a set up if you wanted to add a sim card for a data plan package to have it connect to the internet full time. Does wireless AA, and carplay i think, but i don't use apple products so didn't look into it much. but you do have full access to the app store

This is where i picked it up, great small business. Gotta support the texans from time to time

this video goes over a lot of the functions and installation of the radio alot of jibber jabber on it as well, but probably one of the best videos on it that i've seen

And of course, i'll be able to give some hands on reviews here in a couple of weeks. Definitely going to help make the burb feel more modern. Also have the morimoto headlights inbound so (not) really looking forward to pulling the entire bumper just to get to the headlights. My driver side headlight has moisture and the contacts are messed up for the turn signal, so figured if i'm going to pull it to fix it, i might as well upgrade it as well.

Radio and headlights and rear suspension stuff is all here. Hoping to do rear suspension and radio this weekend. Might get a couple of the other interior mods done tha ti have sitting around...Headlights are on a delay. Plan is to put some lights behind the grill for additional lighting, even if i won't need to use it much. However, Diode Dynamics hasn't shipped those yet. Might switch gears and upgrade the ditch lights on my truck with the DD lights i ordered and just get an amazon special light bar for behind the grill on the burb....But regardless, that puts headlights hopefully happening next weekend
