I'm a new old Tahoe owner, 1997, 2 window/ rear tailgate hatch. I'm desperate to find an outside spare mount, preferably a swing out. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of a good, buy reasonably priced model? Thanks much in advance!

I've got the Wilco on my blazer, it was a clearance old model so it was $750 but shipping was another 350. Pricey but I didn't want to be locked in to one vehicle if I decided to sell it (which now won't happen after swapping a 383 in)

Before that I was using one I'd made for about $150 using a solid spare tire mount and a folding adapter, it sucked having to lift the tire up every time but it was cheap and didn't need to drop to open the glass at least.

I wanted the tire out of the back of the truck so I could put a sleeping conversion into it. After looking at Wilco and others I decided to move the spare onto the front... works great and has high red-neck road appeal!
