I'm fixing to order a RCX 6'' lift and was wondering if it's ok to run no rear sway bar. I remember I removed mine in my old jeep and it didn't effect anything but want to make sure it's safe to do in the tahoe before I pull it off and put anyones life at risk

I took mine off because my bigger spare wouldn't fit with it on. Mine isn't lifted though.

I haven't noticed any difference. The front bar is much more important than the rear.

A big ass tahoe going down a windy high way and no sway bar is something I wouldn't wanna experience. I've had a broken endlink on my rear sway bar and it wasn't fun

Most all the trucks from the 80s 90s 2000s did not have rear bars.

I would keep mine though

These were leaf sprung trucks weren't they?
I think that plays a part

Yes.

Although on my old excursion it had rear leafs and added a Helwig.

I would always run one if they made it. :)

Hmm well maybe he will okay but I know for sure I would never do it. The winds takes these trucks even with the sway bar

...you know wind resistance isn't the reason for sway bars right?

I know that's not the use I just know it helps in that situation and it would be my worst worry. Because I can slow down on turns by my own will but I can't control the wind while I'm on the highway.

I have a 2dr w/ 6" lift and 35's. Left the rear sway bar off when I did the lift and can't tell a difference... rolls down the interstate and back roads just fine

Wind may not be the reason for the sway bar but it does help.
I would agree, not something I would take off, if anything I would upgrade.

LEAVE IT ON! These vehicles can rock just going over a speed bump slowly at an angle and as they get loaded with weight the effect can intensify. Doesn't matter if wavy street or highway lanes the 4dr and and burbs and trucks need them and they are there to help handling.
