I have noticed lately that my 2dr is starting to sag a little in the front and I am just interested in leveling her out a little bit. What tools to do need to adjust the stock torsion bars? Special nuts? Will it require a cheater bar to turn them?

So if all I want to do is crank it up some, I just need a 18mm socket?

Make sure to spray them down with penetrating oil the day before....maybe a few days before and each day....trucks are old!

So, when doing this lift is there any point at all in getting new key?

If so, is there a place I can rent the chevy torsion bar removal tool?

you dont need new keys unless the hex where the bar slides in is worn out, you dont even need the tool if you have it off the ground you should be able to back the bolt all the way out then lift the key by hand and slide the bolts housing out and if you cant a c-clamp works just fine

Our year trucks typically do not require keys to gain too much lift as the newer body style trucks do

So the tool everyone talks about to take the torsion bar off isn't necessary?
