Update, did the evaporator myself and only took a solid 10 hrs start to finish. And converted system to 134 instead of 1234. Ac blows way colder than before!!
Just think of what you would have had to deal with if you had a newer Z71 with even more goodies.

Wow. Nice work. If you are still on here, I am interested in how you converted between the two coolants?
The compressor oil for r1234 is capatible with r134. But compressor oil for 134 is not capatible with 1234. And with the new evaporator cake with the new orifice tube(expansion valve). I just made sure to evacuate the system very well then charged it up. Been almost a year now(10k miles) and no issues at all yet
