Folbeck 4x4 in Reno recommended the 4.88 what a very stupid idea....

So far I am averaging 13 mpg running my normal 90% highway 10% city

In the city mpg is around 13 to 15 mpg.

Highway seems to be in the 13.8 mpg range hardly better than 12 mpg

Torque and power as expected are very good but you are in 5 gear by 35 mph

Right now 70 mph is 2400 rpm I think it is a little to high for best MPG I need to change gearing to 4.11 to get rpm at 70 down to 1900 and I think mpg on the highway will come up a lot more and city will hopefully come up too.

Anyone else out there running 35 tires and 4.11 or 4.56 gears?

Most run 4.56 on 35s with the 6 speed tranny and 4.88 on 4 speed. If you don't plan to go above your current 34s then 4.11 will be good.

I wonder what kind of mpg are they getting with 35's and the 4.56 vs the 4.11 s The tires I have now actually measure out at 34.6 so I consider them as 35 for gearing issues and future tires may be in the same range. In my driving it looks like best fuel economy on the highway is right at 1900 to 2000 rpm in 6 th gear.

What are you getting with yours and what gears are you running?

That's a new set of tires?
How many miles did you get out of the first set?

I have those on my F350 and like them, thinking of going with those on the burb when we need them.

Yes these are new tires, I have not used them before so I can't say from personal experience how long they last. So far they have done pretty well in sand and desert driving on the highway they are pretty quiet and handle well I have read a lot of good reviews on them so I am hoping for the best. I have a new set on a Dodge 2500 too.

What flares are those? Looking for my burban right now.
These are Bushwacker pocket flares

SAS Have you ever seen that on a 2011? And why would you even try a sas with 2011 anyway? Does not sound like a good idea why would anyone want to reduce ground clearance wit a swap like that?
