On July 1st and it also suffers from the crooked passenger side exhaust tip.
After my first trip to the Dealer service, the service invoice read: “CANNOT VERIFIED EXHAUST TIPS ALIGNMENT CONCERN”. The service manager and others behind the counter then said gleefully that all the 3.0L suffer from this issue and to go look around the lot to confirm which I did. Many but not all were crooked. The Manager then said even if they replaced the exhaust section the replacement would
likely also be crooked.
Not satisfied with this excuse I called California Customer Engagement. After much discussion and my insistence that the Dealer would not correct this, the GM person promised to call the Dealer to find out why. Days later I surprisingly received a return call. The same GM person said that she spoke to the Service Manager at my Dealer and that I should schedule another appointment to have this repaired. I asked whom she spoke to, and she told me the correct name of the Service Manager. She then said there would be no reason that the replacement parts would not have correct alignment and gave me the Case #.
I made the appointment and provided the attached photo. Went to pick up at the end of the day with the exact same explanation as before. I was told no phone call was received and they had no record of my Case number.
