So I pay over $70000 plus tax and have to have my truck roof removed by some mechanic at my GMC dealer ,to fix a problem that GM should have never let the trucks be sold with. I don't trust the dealer to put the truck back together like the factory. I wish I leased my truck and not bought it.

{JasonDenali15 I could not private msg you back I do not have the proper number of posts, I hope your new truck is problem free}

Oh boy. Can't wait to see how the new 2015i version does.
Is crazy we have to be in this situation with this GM guys, I think those guys don't care about they just want to get paid and that's it.

GM purchased my vehicle back from me.

A couple of things I learned:
1. They did the roof service bulletin work and it did not solve the problem. They did notice the sheet metal was not attached, but did not cure the pressure.
2. Changed out shocks and road forced balanced tires and they claimed it did. A particular psi range appeared to help the buffeting.
3. I did not drive the truck after they tried the new settings. I cannot verify it actually worked. I tried to hunt the vehicle down to drive it, but it was off the lot.
4. GM sent shocks directly from the proving grounds to test on my truck (so I was told). I believe the issue has something to do with the shocks the balancing for some reason.
5. Please keep mind, I am just reporting what I was told. I am not a mechanic. I never had a chance to verify it worked. I am just hopeful you can use this information to prevent your truck from being torn apart for no reason. See if your dealership can contact some engineers and see if they are documenting what is going on in the field with the shocks.

That's all I have...I have emptied my brain on everything I learned. Keep me posted on how it goes out there.

What i understood that not all of the yukon denalis share the same problem, the dealer told me that they are going to open the roof and it will fix the issue but i told them even if gm says that this is the only way the issue will be solve i will not accept,i told them i need either money back or to change the car with new one.

Drove a 2015i Yukon Denali tonight with my wife. I mentioned nothing to her about the complaints of buffeting. As soon as we got I 60 MPH she mentioned the buffering sound. I heard it too. It was quiet and intermittent and seemed to go away as soon as I hit about 65 MPH. I was able to recreate the noise by slowing down to and crushing at 60 again. The noise seemed to either get better or I grew accustomed to it when I turned the radio on (even quietly). I know that this truck was a 2015i as it had the 8 speed, the new antenna, the charging mat, and the kick to open hatch (very cool addition BTW). Little Leary about placing an order but even at its loudest it didn't seem like a deal breaker to me.

2015 Yukon SLE at the dealer for 8 days

I leased a 2015 Yukon SLE Thanksgiving weekend. I have had the thumping/interior pressure issue that has been mentioned in this forum. It has now been at the dealer for 8 days. I've spoken to the tech on two different occasions and he is at a loss. They have not been able to contact GM tech assistance due to the Christmas/New Years holiday. He did tell me that there is a service bulletin on the Noise Canceling mic, that didn't work. He was going to take the headliner down to check the roof struts today. They have thrown a different set of wheels/tires on it, checked the alignment, suspension, etc. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions that I can give to the tech, please let me know. Its a 7/2014 build date, 5.3L, SLE with 20" polished wheels, no moonroof or roof rack cross members. It has running boards and the dealer installed Leather seats and the chrome accessory kit on it before I leased it.

Could it be the sub creating the pressure sensation / sound? I don't have the issue, at least that I notice, on our tahoe but a particular song came on on xm and even with radio quiet, it produced a low and frequent bass that was uncomfortable and almost felt like pressure in the ears. And I don't mind bass. Just a thought and perhaps it is connected to the active noise canceling.

Just read this on GMT. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/162779-2015-yukon-noise-in-cabin/page-30

*** FYI-- I just completed my 2nd theory as to what was creating the pressure and I think I'VE NAILED IT!! ***

I tried the AMP fuse pull.. It helped, but didn't completely get rid of the pressure... Failed.. for that idea... So let's move on to the next theory --

100% -- It's the noise cancellation system!!! Forget the roof separation.. Forget the tires... Forget the shocks... Forget EVERYTHING GM *thinks* is causing the pressure. The noise cancellation system is creating the pressure that I (and I would assume, everyone else) is feeling!! GM was determined to make this the quietest SUV in the market, but while doing so, I think they implemented an extremely harsh noise canceling system to achieve this!

To test my theory, I decided to go after the system that GM has YET to even consider -- NOISE CANCELING.

Our 2015 Yukon Denali has "cabin mics" covering the interior roof of the truck... There are 2 "mics" on each side of the driver's and passenger grab-handles, one directly above the driver's side sun-visor and one dead-center of the 2nd row seating... I removed the plastic grilles that designated these areas and replaced them w/ cotton balls and masking tape... Yes... Cotton balls and masking tape -- all with the hopes of "desensitizing" the sounds these "mics" are hearing... After having headaches on New Year's Eve, to feeling absolutely no issues after the "cotton ball" test, I've determined it is totally the Noise cancellation that is creating the pressure!!

It took me literally 10 minutes to locate the "mics", pull the grilles and tape them up!!

Anyone else w/ the pressure willing to try?

You guys got me listening for it now. I now focus on any booming. Now I'm not sure what's normal. I have a 2015i Tahoe built on 10/20/14.

I hope it's something that "you'll know instantly if you have it or not". I don't have headaches or dizziness.
