I have an engine light that no one seems to be able to figure out. I added a supercharger to it, otherwise stock. Customer service from Whipple wasn’t much help either.

That's an odd one. I'd start by swapping sides with the upstream O2 sensors to see if it becomes a P219B.

If it stays on Bank 1, then you know it's not a funky sensor and something upstream is causing it. Possibly a lazy/leaky injector as it's a rich code.

seems overly generic error code


  • Engine vacuum leak (large)
  • Defective oxygen sensor/s
  • Burnt, chafed, broken, or disconnected wiring and/or connectors
  • Engine exhaust leaks
  • A faulty mass air flow or manifold air pressure sensor
  • Bad fuel pump or clogged fuel filter

fixes are ALL over the place :-\

Replace both pre-cat oxygen sensors to start. Use ONLY OEM sensors.

You've got a vacuum leak somewhere and its causing the O2 sensor to send faulty adjustments to compensate. Check to make sure everything after the MAF is tight with no air leaks, check the pcv lines, throttle body gaskets, etc....

@Rocket Man was saying setting the top of the blower down onto the base and keeping oring in place is a pita
Could try the ol spray starter fluid around everything and see if idle changes

I used the injectors the SC came with. O2 sensors are new. MAF and MAP seem to be reading properly. I used vasoline on that o-ring(recommended). 2 mechanics think it has something to do with the tune…Whipple says otherwise. It ran perfectly before and still perfect after the upgrade. I’ll try some starting fluid and see what happens.

I’ll keep y’all posted.

Id double check that oring, had it tear on me two different times when I would work on 2.9 whipple on a hemi

Is the code always present? My '08 has a blower as well and it'll pop a similar code when I get a little too zealous off the line and the belt slips.

It really only happens when the right balance of traction control and throttle pressure hits; it's annoying, because it'll stay until I clear the code, then disappear until I make the same mistake again.

It’s on all the time.
