Nice. I've always liked the black with the blacked out chrome. Gonna swap out any external pieces? Looks really nice.

Thanks it’s the first non black vehicle I’ve owned in years it’s a nice shade of silver I’m liking it, in terms of external mods I might do a Mach 1 chin spoiler like I had on the 05 and maybe a Marauder spoiler I’m kinda liking the “undercover” look tho I’m undecided.

In one of my earlier posts i mentioned the car still had a lot of hidden goodies well when they decommissioned it they left a lot in it, grille lights, strobes in the reverse lights and front turn signals, siren, they basically just cut everything behind the rear seat along the door under the carpet. I’ve always wanted a Vic with lights for off-road use so I picked up what I needed to get it all hooked up, the strobe wiring, strobe power supply and two strobes to install in either tail light. Started running the wiring for the reverse strobes here and zip tied it for a nice clean look.

I see you also have that rear equipment pack/insert. I've heard those are hard to come by. Supposed to be made with kevlar.

That was Ford’s first way of dealing with the fiery rear end collisions before the fire suppression option, the fire suppression was I wanna say a $2500 option which might have been too much for some departments, the Kevlar is on the back side so if there were sharp items there it wouldn’t puncture the gas tank which is right behind there. I wouldn’t call them rare there out there some people think there worth more then they are the hard thing to find is they made these plexiglass covers those are kinda hard to find a complete set. The trunk pack came out of the 05 I don’t really put much in it but it’s nice to have and makes the trunk area cleaner.

Here’s a few pics of the siren and the grille lights, the siren is made by Whelen along with the grille lights, the grille lights are 500 series TIR6, and with the grille the lights are kinda hidden it’s a nice setup. The grille has been replaced since I took these pics the chrome was peeling in a few spots.

When I enabled the keyless entry the remote has a button for the trunk pop which is enabled but it doesn’t work because the police cars don’t have the extra wire, so it’s as easy as grabbing that wire off a civilian car and splicing it in and putting the wire in the right pin on the connector. While I was in there I replaced the door switch bezel it had done broken tabs, then this tab where a screw for the door panel goes has broken off so I fixed that with a small bolt/nut and lastly replaced the under dash fuse box cover because it had been hacked up I’m guessing they had the lever for the Tremco there cause it was kinda just loose up there and wasn’t mounted to the parking brake release like it’s supposed to be.
