My 2019 Yukon XL 5.3L is perfectly adequate for every task I ask of it. Not everyone needs a top fuel dragster motor in their SUV. People forget how pathetically slow vehicles were several decades ago......
To each their own, but you might be overstating things just a wee bit. Corvette motor might be a little closer to the mark.:driver:

I still lost a drag race to my buddy's stock Jeep before I put a cam in it with a Blackbear tune. Problem solved.

If something happens to my 2012, I'd get a clean GMT900 again. Newer have more issues. Older have fewer features. And in my opinion, the GMT900 was the pinnacle of appearance. As my 2012 approaches the 200k mile mark, I'm considering grabbing a junkyard L92 to squirrel away just in case, because I don't ever want to buy anything newer.
