2001 Silverado Z71 1500 Shocks, what brand?

The old girl at 192k needs shocks. What is a good sensible brand to put on it. Stock height, don't need TOP end stuff (prob won't have it that long, years more, to warrant that money) but don't want cheap stuff either. Monroe's good?

If the oe shocks lasted 193k go with them. You can find them cheaper on line. eBay usually has a big selection.

ya unless your looking to change something up the oem ones are good, I did however use Bilsteins on my 03 and they took a beating and worked fine

I went ahead and got Bilstiens. My 95 had them and at 225k they were still doing great.
