New guy here, just put 2” Belltech drop spindles on my 03 Tahoe, 2 questions....

First, just exactly how much clearance are you guys getting between top balljoint stud and axle boot? I cut as much as possible and even ground the nut some just to get daylight between them.

Second, I know its required to use their supplied nut and trim lower balljoint stud for 17’s, but will 18’s clear without swapping nut n cut or can ya just cut a lil?

Again thanks in advance

Anything bigger than 17 works. Trim it unless you want to return to stock spindles. Bigger reason is your spare probably has a 15” wheel. I trimmed mine and if I get a flat on the front I move a rear tire forward and place spare on back.
