07 Suburban Missing Key Features on DIC

My LT is missing some key features on the DIC. I don't have the trip meter, but not the fuel range, Avg Economy, Fuel Used, Speedometer, Trip Timer, Trans Temp, Instant Econ V8. I am missing all of these features. Can I add them by getting the DIC controls from a higher trim model?

As far as know, you can plug in the buttons and will all work.

I have all the buttons, I just don’t get those features. I’m wondering if I need to get the module from an LTZ or a Denali? Or is it my instrument cluster that is limited?

I am not clear on what features are displayed and what features are missing. Maybe, I'm not reading your post correctly.

The features I listed does not show on the display when I toggle through.

My Z71 is an LT too, I don't think it has to do with that..
And I doubt its the buttons.. maybe something in the cluster changed at some point?
Since yours is an early model...

Might be worth a shot to unplug your battery, in case the cluster senses the buttons on powerup? idk..

You did try all the buttons? Some options are on the second button down..

I learned that the 4 button module is unique to the specific model. The one I had left out all the key features I mentioned. I got the module from a Yukon Denali and I got all the missing features. The junk yard is full of of these. If you are looking to upgrade the part number on top is the LT and the part number on the bottom is the Yukon Denali

Odd that an LT Tahoe can be better optioned than a LT Yukon..
Maybe they standardized the upgrade at some date?

OR, your first switch was somehow faulty? (not seeing how...)
I only say that because the diagrams are the same for '07&'08 chevy/gmc & cadillac...
And the info button looks like a straight switch...

The part number that starts with the 718 is the DIC module that is from my LT Suburban.

I would have to agree that whatever switch was in it, is probably not working properly. Otherwise with all the people that have added them to there ppv would have noted this a long time ago.

GMC's has always been a slight upgrade from the Chevrolet version. Since the Yukon's used SLE, SLT, and Denali for their trims. SLT is equivalent to an LTZ with the options. My Suburban was a 2LT option. Just one step above base model. Not many options. It's nice to know all these parts are interchangeable.

All Driver Information Center (DIC) features were not available on all GMT900 (2007–2014) trim levels from the factory. While the underlying electronics capability was present in most vehicles, GM restricted access to certain features based on the trim, primarily through the inclusion or exclusion of the steering wheel control buttons. My Suburban was a base model with some added upgrades like leather seats.

Key Differences and Limitations

• Base/Work Truck (WT) & LS/SLE: These trims often came with only the basic "reset stem" on the instrument cluster, which limited the DIC display to basic trip, odometer, and limited warning messages.
• LT/LTZ/SLT/Denali: Higher trims typically included the full DIC steering wheel controls, allowing access to advanced features such as tire pressure monitoring (TPMS) display, oil life customization, engine hours, and personalized vehicle settings (e.g., exit lighting).
• The "Plug-and-Play" Factor: In many cases, the wiring harness for the full DIC controls is present behind the dashboard, even on base models that didn't come with the controls from the factory. Many owners upgraded their base trucks by simply installing the higher-trim switch panel, which then activated the "hidden" features.

Know for a fact that one of the DIC features included with SLT is ATF temp.
