I finally has some spare time in my garage to tackle the Street Guardian dual camera.
1st, their extra length 'standard' rear cam cable is just long enough for my XL / no need to buy the extra long cable.
Running the rear cable was pretty easy along the upper passenger edges.
THE TRICK was how to get the rear cable outside to the hatch. By removing the interior- right /rear plastic cover( speaker/vent cover)......... I eventually saw the solution. Feed the cable behind the little speaker / vent 'flappers' ... then out through the exterior / vent louvers / under the vent cover. ( remove vent cover and you'll see ).
I ran the cable out of the louver, then upwards to run from under the outside vent cover.
Run cable along the rubber harness cover - then a small cut into the rubber to run cable under plastic hatch trim.
The trick was solved , dealing with the glass raising up, by having enough slack.
Camera cable does not interfere with any glass gaskets, so no water leak issues.
If I did this again, it would take about an hour!!
