I don't really worry about failure since they default to stright and only use one side anyways. I've had really good luck with China made stuff, especially the better known higher end brands, not just the cheapest ebay stuff. these days I can't find oem parts that aren't junk lol. but yeah, everything fails.
I like your side lights. do you have a picture or thread about them? Definitely like the turn signals lights, but the tight mountain roads I like at night, I wouldn't be using turn signals for. so that's where the gyro sensing the car turning would be nice. of course that's if the tuning if it is right. I guess I could just put a diode inline and have them all on when hitting hight beam.
i could see having both setups, yours and those being worth while together.
I would also like the function of lights moving up and down with the hills even around here. with a nice clean cut off, it's always annoying up hill and feel like I'm blinding people when cresting over the top. the never German cars do that as well.
that is probably asking for to much haha
I think something like yours is what this type is trying to do just all built into one unit. yours is probably better being a stand alone setup thou.
