Whats a good obd2 scan tool that can scan abs and air bags

Abs, transmission, and airbag codes.

I had a couple cheaper ones previously with the paid torque app.

I like my bluedriver much better. Paid for itself on the first fix.

Thanks for this info! Just got the bluedriver and read my abs codes. I can't seem to see transmission temp on live data though...my elm327 and torque could see that...can anyone tell me how to get tranny temp on bluedriver?

does the blue driver read fuel trims, various pressures, injector related numbers? can it read the info related to the coils, misfires, spark plugs etc?

It found which wheel speed sensor was failing on my old denali and which airbag impact sensor was failing on my escalade. WOrks great for my chrysler and honda vehicles as well.

I just bought one of these and it won't read airbag codes on my 09 Silverado. I emailed them and they said GM changed something in 08 and the airbag function will only work for my truck when they make new hardware; a software update for the Bluedriver won't help me. I'm thinking of returning it. I have an airbag light on as well as ABS.

BUmmer. Maybe its worth investing in one of the more expensive setups for you then.

I'm looking but it's confusing to find one that reads airbag codes on an 08 and up. Some say they read airbag codes but when you try to see if it will read a specific vehicle's airbag codes it gets fuzzy. If anyone knows of one let me know. I realize I'm in the NBS section but I've been in this area for so long....

I know, and I want to get one but I'm afraid the Chinese clones like you have will be too confusing to set up and use. I started looking at them and there's so many different ones with so many different things, it seems like, to get them working. Maybe I can PM you and you could help walk me through it? I mean, as far as choosing the right one and maybe the initial setup. After that I should be fine, I'm pretty good with tech. I don't mind spending $200-$250 if that would work.

Anytime. While people call them Chinese clones, the Vetronix ones were made in China and mine came from the same factory. Maybe they all do? There's some basic tests to make sure everything is working and that's what many of those accessories are used for. I just use the Tech2 and the Candi module and the obdII adapter.

supposed to be able to read suspension codes and abs. I currently have a service stability message and I have no idea what it is. Hope this will point me into the right direction.

Just an update, it reads my suspension code. I can see a bunch of data similar to some of the bluetooth devices but I can also get into the BCM and look at the values of different sensors. I can look at the values of various chassis, engine and body sensors.

Does the tech 2 or blue driver show real time abs sensor data. I don't get any abs fault codes. So I am trying to figure out which sensor is having a voltage drop and triggering my abs to kick in at low speeds. I got the autel but that looks like it won't give me real time data for each sensor as i drive.

The Tech2 does. It can record also so you can view it after a drive, either on the Tech2 or download it to a computer with the TIS2000 software.

Which autel do you have? I have the MD805 and can read individual wheel speed sensors.

ahhh I have Autel Al619. I guess I'll return it and get md805. So just to confirm you where able to see each wheel speed sensor while u where driving?

Yup, I used it recently to show my friend how his right rear sensor had no output, then when we replaced it how it was working just by spinning the tire by hand while it was still off the ground.
