285/75/r16 e range tires, recommended pressure

I run my 285's Load Range E's at 44 psi. Seems to be the sweet spot for ride, handling, and wear. Casey

    Blower motor on 1997 Tahoe

I'll go ahead and add to this that I was having intermittent issues with my blower motor. I finally traced down a bad ground wire. The ground wire from the motor goes up into a bundle of wires above the heater housing. I had to peel the bundle of wires apart and discovered a connector there...

    2 door in 2016?

Not in 2016. I'd have to wait 10 years for used prices to be in my budget! :D I sure wish GM would build them again though. Casey

    Diesel performance

I'm not aware of a performance cam for the 6.5L. It's a very low-revving engine with no throttle plates and a turbocharger. It's pushing about all the air it can get. I have Kennedy Diesel's chip on my 6.5L, and that helps quite a bit, especially since I installed the Turbomaster mechanical...

    1995 2 door Diesel

I love the diesels, but they have some minor issues that will probably need worked out. I average 18 mpg in a full-sized 4wd with 33" mud tires, so that's pretty nice. I love the low-end torque as well. If you've never owned a 6.5L diesel, then check out www.thedieselpage.com for tons of info...

What kind of lift do I have?

Looks like Bilstein 5100 shocks are already installed. Those are really nice shocks. I would pull them off and check them out. If they seem to be okay, I would check the rear springs. Those 6" blocks between the springs and axle aren't the best way to lift a vehicle, but the most common way...

    More overlanding fun

I actually work for an RV dealer, and we sell that product. Roadmaster contacted me a couple of years ago about selling their product, and I wanted to try a set out first before recommending them to my customers. I'm very pleased with how they support the load when towing, they give me about...

    More overlanding fun

    # 1 rule in off-roading: never be first! I always watch what other rigs do first before deciding to follow through. If I had been the leader on this trip, I probably would have avoided this particular pit. But after watching a few vehicles ahead of me make it through with no problems, in I...

What to do with the G80

I actually really like my G80! Works great when you need it, silent and transparent when you don't. My rig has over 286K miles on it.... never had a problem with the Eaton ADL..... I think the "gov lock" has gotten an unfair bad rap. Casey

    Deer vs. Lifted Suburban =

I smacked one head-on last fall. I was able to see it and slam on the brakes, but still hit pretty hard. I'm REALLY glad I had the Westin brush guard installed. It took the brunt of the force and protected my grill, headlights, etc. Only damage was a bent lower crossbar on the grill guard...

    35s on stock

That's strange. I'm running 33's on stock suspension, but with a 1" crank in the front and 1" helper springs in the rear. No trimming at all. Casey

    96 Tahoe Front End Rebuild

Nice job! I just did that on my '95. Spent about $600 on all Moog parts. Casey

    Two Door Tahoe Reliability

I've got 278K miles on mine, and I'm pretty sure the tranny has never been touched. Of course, I have the 4L80E, so that helps.... Casey
