Im looking to buy another 2 door tahoe to keep stock
I found a 96 sport 2800 ( ac doesnt work , bushings gone,and shocks)

and a 96 diesel 3700 ( needs brakes master cylender)

I know the diesels are but is it worth getting? Will the parts be harder to find and to maintain? Ive never owned a diesel

Anyone has some information about the diesel trucks? :)

I love the diesels, but they have some minor issues that will probably need worked out. I average 18 mpg in a full-sized 4wd with 33" mud tires, so that's pretty nice. I love the low-end torque as well.

If you've never owned a 6.5L diesel, then check out www.thedieselpage.com for tons of info on this engine. The electronic DS4 injection pump is the biggest problem with these engines. There's a few tricks to keep them going, though.
