rooting the Galaxy Tab two should not be that hard just do some googling or searching around on the interwebyou will most likely use a program called Odin to complete the task and its very easy to use.

It seems like usb audio for your tablet isn't supported yet. If so, you could of used a DAC capable of usb input. There's no way you can go with the 90 degree 3.5 plug?

Made a decision to bypass a single din head unit and go directly in a sound processor from the nexus. This is the one I just ordered. Once I get it then the real install will begin:Big Laugh:

Lol I see myself swapping out the galaxy tab for a nexus 7 in the future....But yea I guess i'm giving up the usb audio dream for now...I'm just gonna run the 3.5mm for audio :whymewhyme:, I'm gonna be back home in Michigan at about 5 tomorrow and the first thing I'm doin is going in the garage to work on the truck...One more thing I didn't think about is where I'm going to put the EQ!

Mounted my amp under my second row and ran rcas, speaker wire, and power wire to it this evening! Decided that I'm just going to mount the eq inside the center console facing up, I won't really be using it for anything regularly, and if I want a physical volume button ill just throw a pac lc1 in my dash somewhere which now that I think about I'll prolly get soon and put it in lol Tomorrow night I'll be putting my door speakers in and depending on how fast I can do that I might be able to get a test run with everything :D

Nice work. I got to kick myself in the ass and get started too.
I think I'll also be putting the amp and sound processor in the center console. That will keep wiring much easier, and there seems to be a lot of room in there. If it gets too hot, than I'll probably install a pc fan to draw the heat out.

Yea man that center console is GREAT for running and concealing wires in, theres so much space. Today when I get home I'm going to get those door speakers in....Not too excited though because I hate removing door panels, seems like they never go back on as tight as they were before after you take them on and off..

I'll probably go to the dealership and get some of those white clips, they always tend to get loose at the bottom of panel which is annoying. You could always put some self tappers, lol.
I would check online for a diagram or pics to know exactly where all the screws are located. It's always fun when your pulling on the panel and mistaking a clip for a screw and plastic cracks.

Alright so I got a lot done today...I got both my front door speakers in (taking doors panels on and off was EASY :D) I got my tweeters in also. I wired up the PAC harness also to the speaker leads, crossovers, and to the factory harness. Tomorrow on my list, I have to get my eq wired up, which shouldn't be hard because all the rcas are just sitting in my center console, although I will have to run accessory, bat, and ground to it. Then last but not least I have to get my tablet mounted in dash and then tune everything up and hope that everything goes smooth the first time I test it out!

:party33:So, how does it sound?

You happy with it

Sounds pretty damn good, about as good as you can sound using the 3.5mm lol But my speakers get LOUD I'm really happy with the pioneer comps and mb quart amp I went with. Only thing I have to do is get the tab wired to the cig lighter I didn't have time to do that today...Whats the easiest way to make it so that one of my two front cig lighters acts like retained accessory power?

Overall I am VERY happy with it I can't wait to start using it, its so much better than a regular double din !

Not the easiest way but I'd remove it and splice to the pos and neg wires. Don't forget it's 5v for the tab.

Thanks just installed it lol I needed that!

That's the exact same wallpaper that got me searching for the app.
Couldn't get it to fit properly without it. Best music player I found so far is Player pro. The player pro widget looks great on the homepage.

Btw, good job. It looks awesome.

Gonna go and buy some Peel & Seal tomorrow and apply it to the doors while I install the speakers.
