I would keep wd40 away from the brakes?
My friend got it on his and had to replace the pads

I'm not going to be hitting the pads. Just the "black part" as you described.

I don't think these will rust up like OEM. But I'll probably stay away from WD-40 as it does ruin pads like you stated previously. And Stop tech pads aren't cheap.

Mine aren't OEM and mine rusted up lol but mine didnt have that black coating either

BTW. If anyone thinks these will stop like Brembos they absolutely do not. There stopping power has increased greatly but they're nothing compared to my Jeeps Brembos.

Not even close. LOL

Have no clue can't tell with the chrome. These trucks really don't get brake dust compared to the Jeep.

But stoptech is notorious for stopping brake dust on cherokeesrt8.

These pads Firestone puts on my car spit dust like that's their job rather than braking.
They also wear out every 9 thousand miles! Thank god for lifetime brakes!

I would switch to R1 Rotors and stoptech pads.

I think for the Yukon's future a drop, tune, exhaust, G5's and painted applique's are near.
