I have a 2008 Yukon Denali, I have tried many ways to program the Denail to work with my Gate and Garage door, so far it will not program either no matter what I try. Both the gate and garage opener are older, 25 years old but they program with my other cars just fine. I am considering hitting the wrecking yard for an older Homelink. My 03 programmed very easy, my 2018 Porsche programmed 1st try. My wife's Audi a 2021 programmed with no issue. I have had Fords, no problem, several GMC and Chevy's no problem. This Denali has me stumped. Maybe it is broken? The lights come on and flash fine, just can't get a program to work.

Any ideas? Anyone know if I could wire in the older homelink and have it fit in the location the 08 sits in?

Thanks

Just frustrated.

Iirc you need to clear the truck by holding both outer buttons then when something flashes or turns red you hit the button on the gdo on the ceiling and then push and hold the button in the truck…

If you have a spare controller you could hardwire it in with a switch. Depending on your GDO remotes are cheap on fleabay. Just bought one for $6 for a Chamberlain/Liftmaster/Craftsman.

Have you tried the method where the Homelink clones an existing controller, instead of the GDO having to learn the Homelink?

I have a remote that works fine, I want to fix the factory remote to work. The garage door opener is old enough it does not use the roaming codes and does not have the button to push for programming. The devices have programed no issue with all my other cars. I seem to remember my 07 Escalade would not program either but my son got it to work on the back gate but not for the garage. I think something is unique in the 07-13 homelink system??? Thanks for the ideas. I have cleared out the old codes by holding the two outer buttons before trying to program. I am hoping there is a unique procedure I need to learn for this vehicle. As I think about the garage and gate openers they were both installed back in 1992 I think.
