Hey do you guys know what is the best led to use for the esky (or any other for that matter) mirrors?
Also if it's an easy or pita install?

I know it's a 168 bulb but there are so many darn variations of leds.

Really? I use the 5 SMD-LED 194 type bulbs for the license plates/puddle lamps on mirrors.

Nope you just take a flathead screw driver and pry it open away from the car and the little housing pops out. then you take the original incandescent bulb by twisting it counter clockwise. Pop out the original and put the new SMD LED bulb in. Press unlock on key fob and see if it turns on. If it doesn't, switch it around and it should work.

So I just use a hammer and a saw?

If above method doesn't work, try the hammer and saw :)

Okay so today was a mixed bag day ...

The good: Thanks to Timmy who spotted a set on CL for a great price, I received my esky mirrors today and they are in almost perfect shape.

Then the bad: ScSS found a great deal on an Esky bumper a while back for me, then had it painted at a great price, shipped it, and Fedex delivered it today. They delivered it broken with the sides folded in. I took it well: http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=360997#post360997

I rejected it and made them take it back, and Robbie was nice enough to file a claim on my behalf and I should get my money back within a week.

However what Robbie will not get back is all the time and effort he put into helping me out, for nothing I might add, and he got the added stress and aggregation of dealing with Fedex's claims.

What I do not get back is my beautiful bumper that I had been waiting for. So I'm back to square one looking for another one.

And so it goes ... :(
