it's not in the dic settings? For what it's worth, I bought the Gruven HD mirror motors with the metal gears already attached so I didn't have to wait for epoxy to dry.
I haven't had any issues out of mine in all the years they have been installed. No binding, no hiccups.
I wish my '08 LTZ had an option to automatically fold the mirrors when parked.
Not that I have seen. I think the newer trucks had that option.it's not in the dic settings?
I have a few times. I usually keep about 5lbs of air in the helper bags to keep from bottoming outAny issues bottoming out in the back? I am at 5" right now and am afraid to go lower but really want that other inch.
That gives me a little hope. So long as dodging the dumb doesn’t become too difficult. Ha!That's been the same with every generation. There are those that have a clue, those that don't have a clue and know it, and those who don't have a clue and never will.
In the DIC you can scroll through the menu and find the park assist and door lock/unlock functions, tilt/fold mirrors is one of the options you can check.I didn't know that was a thing. but nah, gotta manually hit the button. unless there's a setting I don't know about. either way if the truck isn't on, one will stick and error out. so I'd rather it not do it after shut down
I call bs on it regardless headgaskets going out on these is almost unheard of. Now if a lifter was replaced then,,,,,I’m just going to leave this right here in case anyone is interested.
Would this be considered a crossover?

That passenger side is stuck closed. Feels like I’m going to snap it off the base if I try to open it by hand.they should never be out of sync unless one was pushed closed or pulled open and the button has not been touched again
you can go push the fold-in button, if one is not folding-in then manually fold it in, then go push the fold-out button and they both should fold out/fold in/fold-out/fold-in
but typically when they start messing up the gear is slipping.
It starts out happening random then eventually gives up the ghost.
one way to tell is get a helper and then have them push the button while you are close to the mirror (ear right next to it) and listen, if you hear a whirrrrrr noise and the mirror does not move then that is your clue. if there is no sound then the motor took a crap.
I would just hit the local junkyard and grab a used motor assembly, you will need some star bit's (w/extension), punch tool, pry tool. That passenger side is stuck closed. Feels like I’m going to snap it off the base if I try to open it by hand.
I’ll have to give it a try when I had someone else in the vehicle.
Would you pay for a set of the Gruven HD’s?For what it's worth, I bought the Gruven HD mirror motors with the metal gears already attached so I didn't have to wait for epoxy to dry.

How loud are they?
Fluid film with a misting crevice tool is the way to go. Or Tranny fluid works as well. I don’t think fluid film smells as bad. It's in there. Sprayed everything above it with Fluid Film to keep the rust goblins at bay.
