I had great news on the cancer as to what they found when they did that last surgery. Seems the radiation should finish it off and the route that I chose with the request for tri-modal therapy was a good choice. This is the second week of 4 for radiation. Mondays are a *****, I do chemo in the morning and then radiation. Between everything it’s a full 8 hours on-site. Good thing my sister likes to take me and then hang out with me. It makes it seem more normal. Tuesday-Friday is radiation only and it’s only a 15- minute thing if all goes well. The drive is 30-45 minutes each way though. I just go by myself on those days. None of the treatments have had any ill effects on me yet. 2 1/2 weeks to go!

That is great news, Mark. I pray for your health and well-being every day!

Youse a tough old bird Mark.
And on the fence posts--McGyver would be proud--or the A Team.
I'm really happy to hear you're coming out on top with your health!!

Thanks for all your support, guys. This cancer fight has been like a job to me. I changed a lot of my life including daily activities/ eating/ exercising/ etc and have done 2 operations, full chemo for 3 months, now doing chemo radiation for 2 months. Almost out of the woods. Way better outcome than what they prepared me for.

Four more days of radiation to go, my last chemo infusion was last Monday. I’m in cruise mode on the cancer. Had a good talk with my radiation oncologist today and we agreed we have done it. The only thing to do now is watch, a camera up my dick every 3 months for 3 years and then every 6 months. It’s not coming back. I have changed enough in my eating and lifestyle and supplements that I won’t let it. So after radiation treatment today I swapped the wheels from the 02 Beast onto the Tahoe, figured might as well make the daily look nice. The 20” LTZ wheels won’t quite clear the Wilwoods on the front so I ordered 2” spacers. I just need to be able to roll it on the ground is all. I’ll pull the drivelines on it tomorrow and see if a differential is locked up or if it’s the Performabuilt trans again.

Thumbs up to those badass wheels--BIG thumbs down to the camera up the dick. Hopefully it'll be a sexy ass female Dr doing the deed.

I have been mulling over all kinds of possibilities for The Beast as well. LS swap into a jet boat with a blown 6.0 and part the rest out? Sell it without a transmission? Fix it and keep it? Or sell it? I just don’t know. Anybody want to make an offer? :emotions33:

Glad to hear things are looking positive on the cancer thing! Dealing with it on a personal level so I've kinda distanced myself from following up on yours. Really happy to hear it's going great! Keep after it man and I hope the it stays away.

Treefiddy on the beast btw

I got a new Boost Auto 2020 style key fob to replace the 2015 style I lost. This one feels and looks better than the ‘15 style, more heft to it. I’m happy with it. Closest to a 2020 I’ll have at least for now. Programmed it up; it has a nice feel to it,

I’m leaning toward fixing the Beast and selling it, then buy a boat with the cash. It would be a shame to not get it back on the road, it’s an awesome truck to drive and somebody should enjoy it. Maybe something like one of these @89Suburban except a 21’ Eliminator Daytona for the third one. I’d like an open bow with no engine cover or a cat. Either one with a blown engine to LS swap or a BBC ready to go. Needs to be Malamute friendly, he needs room. ;)

I might have to start a new build thread for the Tahoe. I wasn’t going to do anything to it but The Beast is still sitting and I don’t know when I’ll get to it. So…Ordered some bits and pieces. Found an Esky rack in Silver birch Metallic; I’m in process of painting the chrome rails. I also bought smooth black door handles and mirror caps. I installed a set of the handles just to see what they look like in black and decided to CM them so they’re in process too as well as the mirror caps. Also ordered a set of LED projector headlights that I will look into using my etched MH1 projectors on as well as a set of Spyder’s new design taillights. They have fiber optics for the tubes. They come with either clear or smoked lenses with black housings. I got the clear lenses; I”m going for more of a newer factory look as opposed to an obvious aftermarket look.
