At the shop for a courtesy 90-day alignment check. They needed to straighten the steering wheel, but it was perfect timing after replacing the strut mounts, and all that jazz. I serious doubt tearing the fronthend apart affected anything, free is free.

Here's the after-action report. Seems like a lot changed from just a couple months.

So they did make adjustments? How does it feel now? Can I add this picture to my alignment thread?

Absolutely, feel free to add it. (share the link to your list)

As far as perceived improvements... I just drove it home 10 mins. and never got over 40 mph. I'll get on the highway later today and take note. The guy at the counter said there were a few changes today, and I should notice an improvement. The steering wheel is straight, so that's a good start.

Everything (camber, castor, toe) needed adjustment, and he mentioned that the toe adjustment was pretty far out of whack.

Right?!

I can't understand the abysmal lack of aftermarket support for these SUVs. They only made 50 million of them.

I spent 30 minutes looking for rock-sliders for a Yukon that don't cost 1/10th the value of my rig.

Add mine if you want.... '95 Yukon XL SLT.... Stock suspension, 180,000 miles..... Alignment done after front A arms ( top-bottom) , ball joints ( top/bottom), and inner tie rods.
Feels .... 'new' down the road, and in an aggressive turn.... sweet !!

I guess you can’t trust the parts selectors. Also recently saw some with Dodge Ram wheels on one of these. Looks good
Full-size Nissan wheels fit - same lug pattern and hub bore. I used to run my old Armada wheels during the winter, because they had new snow tires on them when I parked that rig due to rust.

Wagoner as in Jeep!?
Yes sir, any RAM 1500, Jeep Wagoneer which is on a RAM chassis, all have the same bolt pattern as the GMT900 and the center bore is within 0.3mm diameter so they fit on our hubs. They run slightly wider offsets so the wheels tend to step out closer to the fender edge by a good 5-10mm without the use of spacers. GM wheels on RAMs will sit too far in and will be slightly looser on the hub.

Couple things I really like about these wagoneer wheels is they are optimized for weight and strength so anywhere material is not needed its simply left out. The concave design is absolutely amazing and the paint is incredible, satin silver with matt finish.

I am going to install 4 piston calipers and the spoke design will allow me to run them with zero issues.

As for fender flares, I hunted online for a good while and one day I found a set of 4 for Suburban/Avalanche for around 225$. The vehicle is driven on dirt roads quite a lot so lots of rocks hit the sides so a set of flares and some good mud flaps and it should be good for a long time.

Only reason I put flares on mine was to hide the rust. No intention of ever fixing it though.
Same thing, I scraped down to metal all the rust and applied several layers of etching primer and rust prohibited to stop it and the flares will hide the not so perfect fender edge paint where I did the repairs.

Today I replaced the tie rods, which had given up after just under 12,000 miles. I also re-measured my axles with my new, inexpensive wheel alignment device. This has significantly improved my truck's handling. It now steers as lightly as a Mazda MX-5 and as precisely as a McLaren... :Big Laugh:

Well you did more than I did. I attacked the rust with a wirewheel and got good ole rustoleum white on the bare metal when it was 40F out lol

I put a NOCO Genius onboard charger on my Silverado which has an AGM battery on it. I don’t drive it in the winter so I needed a way to keep the battery charged. I don’t tow with it because it’s basically a show truck that I use for my grocery getter so the trailer light connector was unused. I ran a wire along the frame back there and mounted a 120v male plug inside the trailer light connector so I can lift the flap on the trailer light connector and plug the charger in. I almost always remember to unplug it before starting but I’ve started it with the charger on with no issues.
I like those chargers.
I use one on my motorcycle and it has never boiled the battery or had any issues.
A Battery Tender brand battery maintainer did boil a battery and ruin it, that is why I went with the NOCO.
