I put truck on a lift . It's not that bad as I thought. Some frame rust. But I don't think that's something that will require emergency repairs.
Transfer case seal. Exhaust leak on a joint before muffler. Could not take a look under the engine cover. I will drop it off on Monday again to eliminate some of issues. Step by step we are getting there. Changed oil to this. I looked up, it was AC Delco filter and Mobil 1 full synthetic oil before. I did on that oil maybe 500 miles and it turned black. Let's see on this. I will drive for 1 k and then change it again. Our shop mechanic said that pressure of 20 is good.

Who knows what size is this bolt. It's from intake filter. They all are rusted. I had to use chanalock to unscrew them.

They’re special, not something you can find in a hardware store. Amazon carries them.
No my are completely different. I have a threaded insert. It's some m bolts. I have no replacement for them . I might have few titanium in my van
We use them for Elevator brake adjustment. I will check them out. I ordered that thread checker from Amazon. I think I will have to replace lots of bolts under the hood. And I will definitely find a use for it. Unfortunately I parked my truck fome 5 blocks away.

Home improvement stores, as well as ACE Hardware, would have thread checkers for both SAE and metric in the screw aisle.

You can also imprint slightly dirty threads on a sheet of paper and measure how many threads there are in an inch. Measure the outer diameter with a caliper to determine what size, and if SAE or metric.

I faced another issue. I bought nice looking tail lights. And I didn't know that plugs do differ. Now I'm screwed. Can't return them and I don't know wiring diagram.

Why can’t you return them? Looks like you bought them on Amazon?

I figured out what is wrong. It's so called performance tail light. They come with a harness. The one I bought they plug in directly into a socket where light bulbs are. I need a new harness. Current taillight are bad. Led burned. And turn relay is going nuts. I got a warning from popo about not properly functioning taillight. I will go and order new harness ASAP.

What you guys think about these BILSTEIN 24185783.
My autoride is disabled long time ago. My trunk is SLT 4x4 . What you think will these be good alternatives. And should I lift a truck to install them?

Bilstein is quality, you wont be disappointed. I use them on the front of my 02. You will need to have the suspension hanging to install them, with a jack under each side as you work on it to raise/lower the axle as necessary to line up the bolt holes.

I did Rancho 9000xl, the adjustable ones. I have liked them so far.

I have had to replace a couple of the brake light switches in that body Yukon. Sometimes you can lift the pedal a little higher with your foot while driving and shut off the brake light. Cruise control failing to work is a common side effect. In my experience the brake lights worked perfectly but the switch was sending a bad signal to the BCM causing the dash light. Switch is cheap, worth a shot.

Rockauto says that they are not for 4x4
Odd…? If the same Bilstein part number is used for the 2x4 as the 4x4 then the Ranchos should work as well. Either way, both shocks are good. Been following your work! Great truck and keep at it!

On the GMT800 1500 pickup trucks, the 2wd use coil springs vs torsion bar for the 4x4, so the control arms and shocks are different.

I forget if all GMT800 1500 SUVs were torsion bars? 03-07 for sure. Or did they use coil springs on the earlier 2wd ones? I honestly don't know, but maybe that's why?

Just went and looked up a random 2000 2WD Tahoe. Lo and behold, 15051907 & 15051908 front torsion bars.

Did not know that the 2WD GMT800 pickups used front coils instead of torsion bars. Interesting ...
